One of the BEST wool hiking socks that I’ve come across (so far!) have been the REI Co-op Merino Wool Lightweight Hiking Quarter Socks. They are less than $15 and are highly rated with excellent reviews.
Low Cut Wool Socks for Low Cut Hiking Boots
A few of my favorite features for this REI Merino Lightweight style is they are a perfect choice for low cut boots. I wore these in conjunction with a pair of low-cut waterproof boots and my feet stayed dry and comfortable, all day! Personally, I like to purchase the low cut style so they are more versatile with boots and shoes.
Keep your Feet Odor Free and Dry
Whether you’re new to hiking and outdoor sporting, you’ll want to naturally gravitate towards lightweight socks as the temperatures begin to rise. Don’t do it, avoid using thin polyester socks. You’ll thank me later 😉, after my first hike using the wool thick socks, I was surprised at how cool and dry my feet were. The wool helps keep the odor down when you are outdoors for long hours and in different climates.
- Comfortable for long Trail Hiking / Outdoor Sports
- Affordable and Under $15
- Wool material keeps your feet Dry
- Durable and Heavy Duty
- Reinforced Ankle Style
- Quick Drying
- Made in the USA
The best way to wash these is the cold wash and hang dry. I like to avoid putting these into the dryer since they’re made of wool material, they may shrink.
